Johanne was born and raised on a dairy farm in Denmark. Through her upbringing, she developed a great interest in cooking and especially the fermentation processes that contribute to great flavor, as well as those that can spoil food. Johanne earned her Master in Food Science at the University of Copenhagen and has since applied her expertise in the development of various non-alcoholic beverages and established a fermentation laboratory at The Culinary school of Copenhagen. A little over three years ago she was employed by Cocojune Products in their earlier stage and has since been responsible for the development of their unsweetened plant-based yogurt line, their kids pouches and most recently a the savory Cocojune labneh products. Johanne believes that a playful approach to product development in combination with a strong focus on good taste is paramount when we're creating new plant-based dairy products for omnivores. These products should not merely serve as alternatives to animal-based options but should stand out as the most delicious choices available!
